This is a scene for the webcomic that isn’t happening anymore due to plot alterations. I originally created this scene a while ago (way before I knew what I was doing) in Blender Internal renderer. Now I’ve converted it into Cycles for the sake of adding it to my portfolio. What can I say? Yes, realistic lighting is way easier in Cycles. On the other hand, you can see way less with realistic lighting π

Something happened to the “like” button, it seems?
Either way, if you ask me, the whole point of low-light interior scenes is rendering them out to EXR and tonemapping artistically =) So that the shadows are deep but still there is “something” in there, and they’re tinted blue, that sort of thing.
Yeah… Also, something happened to the comment and me responding to it. I apologize π I was going through some health issues over the past month and am just getting back on track. I’ll look into that like button, I was sure there was one…
Sorry about your health issues, I hope they weren’t too bad =(
Thanks! They were pretty bad, but I’m definitely improving and should be back to normal within week or two =)
The latter is great to hear =)
